Predicament

Hrm. I have an issue, but it's a non issue. Okay, so, I kind of like this dress. I like the top of the dress more than anything else. The rest is kind of plain, not that I'm into super fancy pants, but a little something extra might be nice. Anyway, I always swore to myself that I would never go to David's Bridal to look for dresses after I worked there. It was awful, and it's all about the sale, not the bride. I know how they work, and it's just not my style. I saw said dress in a magazine, and of course, it's from David's Bridal. What's a girl supposed to do? I suppose I could go just to try it on. But is it worth the hassel of the consultant calling me later on, or forcing me to try on a few other dresses outside of my price range in hopes for a larger sale? I'm not so sure. Maybe the dress is too plain, anyway. Surely I can find a dress with a similar design that has a little more oomph to it.

DIY Idea # 1

Okay, so I've only been engaged, but I AM on winter break, so I have time on my hands to look at wedding sites. R and I haven't decided on any kind of anything yet wedding wise, but I thought this idea was pretty cool. Who knew rock candy could be so beautiful(and inexpensive!). I'm pretty sure D will appreciate this. From Once Wed.

We're Engaged!

Whoo hoo! R and I are engaged!

I decided to start this blog to keep "all things wedding" separate from my other blog. Mainly because not everyone wants to read about wedding stuff all the time, and I imagine I'm going to have quite a bit of stuff to write about in the upcoming months. So, those who want to read about it, can come here, and I'll have something to look back on.

I'm also going to need some advice and recommendations from those who have come before me, or just those who might have some ideas. We'll put them here! Hooray!

Let's get down to business. Let's start this off with getting some suggestions about ANYTHING! Dress shopping, reception sites, caterers, etc... Have you used someone that you recommend? That you wouldn't recommend? Comment, comment, comment!
